A Season for the arts
The Arsht Center for the Performing Arts Classical Music Series includes violinist Pinchas Zukerman returning as both conductor and soloist with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra on Dec. 16, followed by a solo appearance on Jan. 12 by Itzhak Perlman, considered one of the greatest violinists of our time. The Detroit Symphony Orchestra, with conductor Leonard Slatkin, will perform on Feb. 14, and the series concludes with pianist Lang Lang accompanied by the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival Orchestra on March 29. read more...
